Sports Therapist

The Job

The Sports Therapist will be responsible for treating sport injuries, advise on injury prevention and support rehabilitation by using a range of physical techniques and therapies for the elite sports teams of the Association. These include, but are not limited to work alone or with coaches and fitness advisers to implement exercise, conditioning, core stability and injury prevention programmes for athletes; and liaise with other healthcare professionals in the sports sector.

 

The Requirements

The successful candidate should process a university degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy; a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in professional practice in the relevant fields; he/she should be a physiotherapist, or with potential for registration with the Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong, or sports therapist registered with the Society of Sports Therapists in the UK; good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; good interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of disability sport is an added advantage.

 

Notes:

The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites (including mainland and overseas) and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays; the appointee is requested to undergo Sexual Conviction Record Check.
