Hong Kong, China Sports Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability (“HKSAPID”) is the sole National Sports Association in Hong Kong managing sports activities for persons with intellectual disability (ID). The HKSAPID’s mission is to develop, promote and organize sports activities for persons with ID in order to fully develop their potential in sports, to cultivate positive attitudes in sportsmanship and to facilitate their integration into our community.
The Job
- To assist the swimming team to coordinate, design and implement training programmes, (These include, but are not limited to, utilizing scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the training programme to enhance training outcomes)
- To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive assessment and evaluation
- To prepare progress reports and to assist in the administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions
The Requirements
- A university degree in sports or its equivalent
- A valid national level coaching certificates in swimming
- A minimum of 3 years’ professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching swimming athletes at national level or its equivalent
- Ability to utilise sports science and sports medicine to add value to the training and coaching process
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- With knowledge of disability sport is an added advantage
Notes:
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites (including mainland and overseas) and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays; the appointee is requested to undergo Sexual Conviction Record Check.
